Modern Meets Romantic Spring Wedding in Kansas City

Excited to share designwise KC’s first wedding and big event installation - our own! It feels a little… self indulgent… to be writing a post about my own wedding, but we did a lot of design work and builds for our day so I wanted to share, especially since we’ll have a new rental from the day coming soon.

Tyler and I got married in May 2022 at the historic Madrid Theatre in Kansas City, Missouri. Our theme was modern meets romantic with a little edge, and followed the iridescent color palette, featuring beautiful, punched up pastel florals from Solstice Floral Studio.

designwise KC managed the event design and the majority of the day of decor details. My favorite detail we created was our bespoke, brightly colored flower wall, which will be available as a rental item in the coming months(!!!) in the Greater KC area.

Considering everything, designwise KC created and designed: flower wall, cat portrait drink stirrer, monogram drink stirrer, ring box, vow books, table numbers, escort display, place card holders, bar menu, welcome sign, cake toppers, and guest book.

It was important to Tyler and I to have a day that was unique to us, so it was fun to create so many bespoke items to make our wedding truly ours. I can’t post about our wedding without expressing gratitude to my extremely supportive husband, Tyler, and to my parents and sister who helped finish all of the last minute details for our day. I would *not* recommend doing so much for your wedding if you can help it - I wouldn’t have been able to do so much without their help and my experience with my business.
