A Wicked Wedding: A Moody Fall Wedding Photoshoot in Kansas City

As a self proclaimed musical, theme, and Halloween fanatic, participating in Thursday Therapy Kansas City’s A Wicked Wedding styled shoot was a dream. Truly, I loved every second of it! I had some wild ideas for our installations, and I’m grateful Sofi with Philosofi Celebrations was on board for all of them!

With my love for Halloween, I jumped at the opportunity to create an all black “greenery” wall for the event! The wall was so moody for a fall wedding photo backdrop.

At designwise KC, we’re ALL about the little details that tie everything together. On the greenery wall, we added red poppies as a nod to the Wizard of Oz, and a sign with a lyric from the musical, As Long As You’re Mine.

For the escort display, we used the book and musical stars as our guests, and created ornaments as escort/place cards, which also doubled as a favor for the guests! For Elphaba’s side, we had ornaments of small brooms, and for Galinda’s side, we had bubble ornaments and fairy wands. I had a blast getting to use my creativity for this event, and I’m hopeful I’ll get to create something similar soon!
